IN A BEAUTIFUL PLACE…
PART 3: DREAMZONE is the third of four releases the Warsaw/London based duo has described as a continuation of explorations into different ways of living. By looking into the history of youth cultures, protest movements, music genres and the idea of structure, organisation, creative production and distribution, Dreamland Syndicate brings to the front the ethos of DIY mixtape culture, embracing the idea of an underground network. After recently opening their Warsaw flagship store, DS continues to underline the cultural, social, community aspect of creating independent fashion and streetwear.
The release includes a collaboration with Ollie Dove, UK based photographer, printmaker and the artist behind clothing label Good Things. Long time collaborator and author of lookbooks, whose photo book DIVAGATE was published by Dreamland Syndicate in 2020 has prepared a special graphic tee in 2 colourways, printed in Warsaw on organic cotton CO2 neutral, vegan and cruelty free T-shirts.
Cut and sewn, Made in Warsaw collection will feature new designs such as all over printed cut-up poem full suit, an anti war statement in an army inspired over-shirt, as well as continuation of the previous collaboration with WORMS, a biannual literary magazine that celebrates female and non-binary writer culture. PART 3 DREAMZONE will feature special graphic T-shirts, Long sleeves and hoodies based on the full-page sticker sheet designed for WORMS issue 3 launch and installation at London's Institute of Contemporary Art last year and more recently at Off Print independent publishers fair at the Tate Modern Turbine Hall.
The collection features the Organic T-shirt range, core and oversized Dreamland Syndicate fits, locally manufactured Made in Warsaw items, everyday travel essentials and headwear. DREAMZONE is scheduled to drop Friday 10th of June 2022 12:00 CET via Dreamland Syndicate website, the DS Warsaw store and select stockists worldwide including Dover Street Market London and Comme Des Garçons Seoul.
